You may now register for this year's Aviation Summer Camp online with a minimal-to-full payment - or just make payments towards attending the camp - by going to www.mata-usa.org/summercamp.html

The Camp, which costs just $450.00 per student, is an excellent opportunity for youth ages 14 - 18 to learn about aviation and how it relates to missions, and to experience flying a single-engine aircraft first-hand!

You may also make a donation by going to www.mata-usa.org/donation.html.

Lori's final flight with MATA

Summer Aviation Camp was on the front page of the local newspaper on Sept. 5th.
Read the Arlington Times article here.

MATA had their first summer aviation camp with Brigade Air Inc. Aug 19-25.   See photos above. Five teenage campers were able to experience flying and expose themselves to the world of mission aviation through instruction, simulators and videos.  The students even got to discover the frustrations of weather as there was rain and overcast skies the first couple of days.  While waiting for weather to clear the campers visited a couple air museums that our local area offers.  Overall it was a great week with an awesome opportunity for teens to learn about mission aviation and see if God might be calling them to the world of mission aviation.

MATA 250- We had our first MATA 250, a motorcycle fund raiser ride from the MATA hangar to Lake Wenatchee Airstrip.  We had about 25 riders and raised $3000.00 to go toward the paying off of one of our MATA aircraft.  The riders enjoyed the beautiful picturesque ride over to Lake Wenatchee where they were met by MATA's C-172 piloted by Gary Elliott, MATA's chief flight instructor.  It was a bit windy during the landing but Gary managed the crosswinds and landed on the grass airstrip, something he is very familiar with since he flew in the jungles of the Philippines for 6 1/2 years.  The riders received drinks and snacks from the pilot and then they made their way back to the MATA hangar for a salmon barbeque and videos about MATA and mission aviation.  The riders are gearing up for another ride next year, so don't miss out, be ready to join the ride.

Mission Aviation Day at Ryan Field in Tucson, AZ- We all had a wonderful time in Tucson. About 800 - 1000 people visited the MATA booth on Mission Avaition Day at Ryan Field. Lori and Stacie were able to speak at three different churches over the week and present MATA.   Gary Elliott flew with Bryan Eygaboard in Gordon's C-182 to get those last high proformance hours Bryan needed to begin his application process to MAF (24 hour trip).  Bryan was thrilled about this.  Gary and Bryan flew on down to New Tribes Mission Aviation Headquarters in McNeal, AZ after the fly in where they visited with NTMA pilots and saw the work going on there.  It was very insightful for Bryan.  Gary and Stacie connected with old friends that they served with at NTMA.

Congrats to our students for completing:
