MATA offers flight training under Part 61 for Private and Commercial Pilot licenses, Instrument Rating, and advanced training such as tailwheel, high performance, and mountain flying.  MATA can also train pilots for a CFI certificate.  Short-term service in the “mission field” conditions of Alaska is also available as an advanced training experience.

Tailoring programs to fit your needs is why MATA exists.  We are here to help train you and equip you with the qualifications needed to apply to a sending mission aviation organization.  We also help pilots who return from the mission field and need additional upgrades or training.

MATA offers flexible scheduling, reasonable rates, and instruction and mentoring by field-experienced missionary pilots.  Based at Arlington Municipal Airport in Arlington, Washington, MATA's Puget Sound location offers a challenging training environment.  Arlington Muni is a non-towered airport, but Class D, C, and B airspace are all within 15 nautical miles.  Adverse weather conditions, mountainous terrain, unimproved airstrips, over-water flights, and international border crossings are all part of the MATA flying environment.

MATA does not offer an A&P program, but some students earn their aircraft mechanic licenses at nearby Everett Community College.

Although we have a weekly Bible study, we do not offer formal Bible school training.  MATA has partnered with nearby Atonement Free Lutheran Church to offer Bible School Extension Courses in conjunction with its Bible School and Seminary in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Additionally, accredited Bible courses are available on-line.
